One Route, Three Cities

We're not a national franchise dispatching whoever's available that week - we run the same route through Sheboygan, Plymouth and Manitowoc every week, so pricing and scheduling are consistent no matter which of the three cities you're in.

Three Towns, Three Different Problems

Fifteen miles apart, and they do not produce the same work - which is why each has its own pages rather than one page with the name changed.

Sheboygan is dense pre-war housing on narrow lots, two-and-a-half storeys and close together, which means one elevation on many houses cannot be reached with a ladder set in your own yard. It is also where lake-effect snow does its damage, and that damage is mechanical rather than gradual: wet heavy snow releases off a steep roof in one slab and shears the gutter on the way down.

Manitowoc has an unusually large stock of housing from the shipyard decades, and a surprising amount of it still runs its original galvanised steel gutter. Steel does not sag - it rusts from the inside and weeps along the bottom seam, which is why contractors who only know aluminium quote replacements for runs that are structurally fine and repairable.

Plymouth sits far enough inland to lose the lake's moderation. Less snow, but colder sooner and far more nights crossing freezing - and for gutters, freeze-thaw cycles do more harm than snowfall. Failures here are slow and easy to ignore: lost pitch, standing water, seams that weep rather than drip.

Same pricing in all three. Sheboygan and the immediate lakeshore run through the week; Plymouth and Manitowoc have set route days, which is how they stay at the same price with no travel surcharge.
